Except you inferred that having cross type sensors would help with no contrast solid coloring which is not correct. If there is no contrast then line and cross sensors are equally ineffective.

Center cross point will have a better chance recognizing texture in a shirt. Unless it's at night, the center point on my 6d has no problem focusing on a solid color where the outer points will not lock on. I don't have to think about which direction the line is going when using the center point.

If you talking about a colored smooth wall then no, it won't be easier than the outer points.

This camera seems to be everything I want except the lack of 1/8000 shutter speed.

Still if I can get a reasonable price for my 6D and find the mark ii below 1500$ I'll go for it :)

Robinson Crusoe wrote in post #18492407 (external link)
I am confused if it's worth paying 2000$ on this new camera and selling my 6D for nothing as a second hand.

Adorama has a special. 6DII got $1349. Thats a pretty significant price drop for a camera only a few months old.
Check out this thread for details.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I was on the fence with purchasing the 6D Mkll, but with all thats included at that price it was a no brainer. $1349 is such a good deal!!

BH is a little bit better.

They offer a 64GB Sandisk SD card. And a 3rd party dual battery and charger kit.

Same price as Adorama after rebate.

Btw, I ordered a body from Adorama.

I hope they don't screw me over on the rebate. I ordered everything yesterday. But my order seems to show back order status.

But, just now I got a shipping notification for only the pritner.

I just got this deal from B&H. I figure the SD card I needed vs getting a Canon Original Battery. That's the only difference I see. I'm coming from a 7D and can't wait to get this!

I jumped on the Adorama deal as well. Was hoping to see more sample pictures in this thread though. I'll have to contribute some when it gets here.:-)

Same here, but as of right now my order has changed from "backordered" to "picked" and they only charged me $300 for the shipped printer so far.
Can't wait to contribute to this thread. :)

I emailed Helen at Adorama regarding my order.

She was able to add on the 64GB SD card to my order so it matches the B&H bundle.

What great CS, thank you!

Gotta love Helen. People were saying the prices on the II would down by Black Friday but I didn’t believe them at least not by this much: awesome.

I just dropped $6k on a Canyon Aeroad road bike so my disposable savings is drained until next year: we’ll at least that is the deal I made with the finance manager. I guess that means one of you gets my 6D2 because mine is on hold.

$1699 is the cart price, then you have to submit for the $350 mail-in-rebate. Note that this an AMEX card. Supposedly you can get AMEX to write you a check.
