That is the impression I have from other forum posts. Currently use my 70-200 f/2.8L plus an extender for airshows, going to switch to the 100-400 II. Supposed to show up in a couple of days.

That thing is a hell of a piece of work. You're going to love it.

I use that lens on the 80D, it is a beast! I can't believe how sharp, fast and good the IS is on this lens. I have the 70-200 2.8L original version and it can't hold a candle to the new 100-400L. enjoy

Cheers,
JOE

Will contribute a pic to this thread. Got the camera out in the daylight today and snagged a shot of my car. My last camera was a 5D classic so this is a pretty big step for me. I like it.

Is anyone using auto-iso here? If so, what's your max iso setting when using this?

If not using auto-iso, what is the highest iso you are willing to use with this camera? I'm coming from a 7d so these high iso's are definitely better. Just wondering what people are using that's acceptable to post process afterword. I'm shooting raw and edit in Lightroom if that helps.

Just a couple taken on Thanksgiving vacation at the Air and Space Museum in Chantilly VA with the new Tamron 24-70 G2. And thanks! The grand-kids are doing great!
