There are some things that I really like about the 6D2 while there are other things like the eye level AF that I am not too keen on...

I love the Dual Pixel auto focus with articulating touch screen. I never thought that I would feel that way about touch screen and live view. I did there shots with touch screen exposure and focus stacking...

That's an interesting way to use the touch screen, not sure I would of thought of that on my own. Can't wait to try it now!

trying to decide between the 6D Mk II and the 5D Mk IV, a retirement gift to myself. I currently have a 80D and am looking for a second body and having a 100-400L mk ii, a 35mm f/2, older 28-135, and buying a 70-200 mk ii f/2.8 for my 80D for lowlight birds, I got thinking of rather than wait for the 90D I started looking at full frames.

I keep hearing about poor dynamic range - is it worse or the same as the 80D? If the same I could live with that easily

the flippy screen is almost the deciding factor, I have very bad knees and cannot kneel or get low to the ground (well I could but I would be the old guy calling 911 "I have fallen in the park and can't get up).

If I did go full frame I would add a final lens something like the 24-70 f/4 or 24-105 f/4 so would have an all around kit. I currently have too many lenses for APS-C ROFL.

I would be keeping the 80D and the controls on the 6D are very similar, it seems like the 6D is an 80D with full frame

thoughts?
