You really like your aliasing, don't you?

I know that it is tempting to lean towards pixel sharpness when you present your image 1600 pixels wide, but this is over the top. It looks totally unnatural to me. I've never seen white caps that look like Morse code in real life, or rocks with perfectly horizontal or vertical dashes in them.

I had decided to get into FF with a used 5D mk II. The used 5D mk ii has some electronic issues so I returned it to Hunts. I took the time to apply the refund to a new 6D Mark II. What decided me was the flippy screen and the controls being so close, almost identical, to the 80D.
I decided for my first shots to try some high ISO, low light shots, not super low light I have a overhead light in my den.

I shot one at ISO 40000, not bad but the other two really impressed me I used my 6D and a Canon 28-135.
The first is shot at ISO 6,400 and the second at 12,800 I then did an extreme crop to get the heads of Woody and Timone to check for noise. They were shot in RAW and I used the denoise and a bit of sharpening in Photoshop and then tweaked in Lightroom. the final image is the untouched jpg at 12,800

Took my 6DII out in the rain, light rain. The Collins aircraft are at the Norwood Airport for the weekend.

A few from my 8 week old 6DII.
I have to say I am pretty happy with it so far.

now that I am retired I have time to sit down at the train station about a mile from my house and wait for the Acela to blow through at 150 mph. While I was there today the local commuter rail came through to drop the workers heading home. Grabbed this shot of the conductor as the train started to leave.

If anyone is interested in this feature, I finally go around to trying the built in time lapse while visiting my brother in Tennessee. Might want to turn the volume down, the music I added isn't great.

Was down cutting the lawn at the Seagrave Observatory in Rhode Island today and wanted to get a couple shots of the fall foliage.

Seems like pretty good DR to me.

Thanks for the info. Have not pursued this with my MKII. Hope to try it out on the coast next week.

Earlier this year, the planes were at Skagit Airport in Washington state. The Collins folks helped me do something pretty special. I now have a picture of me sitting at the navigator's station in the B24J. It's the same place my dad sat 72 years earlier. It was a very powerful experience.

I just got my 6D2 this morning. When I get a new camera body, I usually take a picture of a dog or a duck. This time, though, it was a dirty house fly:
