Forgot to say you have to press the magnifying button first. Right under the start/stop button. The wheel will then zoom in and out.

Thanks for the help. Now I understand difference between 80d and 6d2 layout. 80D doesn't have dedicated magnifying button. Instead, AEL lock and AF selector buttons are directly mapped to zoom in and zoom out during image preview.

I am trying to get general purpose walk around lens to replace my Sigma 17-50mm. I am looking at 24-105mm v1 and 24-70mm lens. Is there significant different in FOV between 70mm vs 105mm? 24-70mm lens has macro mode. I can sell my dedicated macro lens and use the funds to replace other lens.

Just a quick question about the Mark ll. The settings are very much the same as the Mark l, so not all that difficult. I shoot Al Servo, focus tracking, back button focus, and only use the 1 center focusing point. I've discovered how to turn all other focus points "off", but I like the center point to light up to confirm focus. Can someone here tell me how to please?? I'm thinking it's something simple I just can't seem to find it. Thank you!

I have the same question! How to get the single focus point to light up? Not finding many active members in this 6dii page is there another place we should be asking our questions?

Check this article (external link); it may help. Both, the 5d3 and 6d2 work the same way. If the red light is not on, that means you don't need it. Illumination is only when there is not sufficient light at least this is the case on my 5d3...just checked. But you can enable the illumination yourself if that makes you feel more comfortable.
This article shows way down how to set the illumination Ctr F for searching the word may help you find it faster. https://www.grantatkinson.com …-for-wildlife-photography (external link)
