I want to have several of my photos printed on canvas.

1. Generally, do you prepare photos in Lightroom for canvas printing the same way you do for regular prints?
2. Can anyone recommend a place that prints high quality canvas printing?

Thanks.

I have used a few different companies to print canvas of different sizes.

Bay Photo was the most expensive by far. WalMart was the cheapest. The difference in quality was near zero. In fact, if you didn't know which was which you probably never would.

I only used easycanvasprints.com so I can't really compare to other sites. I did about 8 canvas prints for my office ranging from 8x10s to 12x18 to a custom panorama.

Excellent quality, packaging, and the price was ridiculously cheap compared to others I quoted. For instance, the 12x18 cost me $19.28 shipped! The "normal" price said $128.56, which I'm sure was inflated to make the deal look really good, but still, I would have expected $40 or so. I like you can do any size by the inch, up to a certain maximum size of course.

And the photo-wrap feature is a must IMO. It really adds a professional look. Just make sure to have a little bleed and expect to lose some of the image to the sides.

For processing, I didn't really do anything differently, but if I could do them over I would probably bump up the contrast just a little.

Whatever company you decide to use, ask them if they can supply you with a profile for the printer/media/ink they use. You install that on your computer in the appropriate color profile location and soft proof your image with it in LR or Photoshop.
I print my own canvas prints on media from several different vendors and finishes and haven't gotten a bad surprise yet.
