I ALMOST had some great shots of this one the night before last, but some camera settings got screwed up and they were all out of focus.

He hasn't come completely out of his web since then, but I'll keep watching him.

According to somebody on arachnoboards, it's an Agelenopsis - "American Grass Spider".
