So my Spyder 3 has worked well for me for the years I've owned it - granted I must admit I'm not an experienced user so its mostly telling me what it wants things to be and adjusted too without a huge amount of input from myself save to ensure that the settings are changed as required (not often) upon recalibration.
That said Spyder are pushing sales on their new 5th version. However I'm finding it hard to really find if there's any real reason to upgrade. They do say performance is improved by something like 50% or so; and it comes with a "lens cap" of its own (which is really no huge feature at all, though I appreciate the need to keep the sensor area clean).
Other than that I can't really see that its a vast upgrade over the earlier edition if one already has an earlier edition of the sensor. So I'm left wondering if any here have upgraded and noticed a marked improvement in performance/interface/features/accuracy or if anyone is aware of any good comparison articles.
