Godox and Fuji

I gotta say, the TT350f has me sold on them. I might order the X1Tf soon, only hang up is how big it is. I might just get the TT685f instead and use my TT350f as a commander.

I find the X1T awkward to use. The buttons are small and the control wheel seems to turn the display options the opposite way. Also it makes using the ISO/SS dial on the X-PRO difficult as it hovers over it. The X32 is a much better design in my mind but they don't make that for Fuji. If you don't want TTL or HSS it's A nice option for control.

You do get to control the flash from the camera menu with the X1T-F though. That negates the fiddly controller. But I like the not having to dive into menus for control that Fuji offers. Can't have it all I guess.

The X1T-F is quite large, at the moment I am controlling my ad200 with the tt350. At some point I will add the ad600 to my kit and maybe I will get the X1 to command both.

AD600 is a great light, heavy but worth lugging about at times. How you finding the 200?

I have to contact Cactus. It's a shame the V6mk2 does not passthru TTL information to the hotshoe on top of the trigger for a fuji flash.

For advanced remote flash work for events the Cactus has tactile knobs to adjust manual flash. You can adjust without even looking at the trigger for fast paced run/gun situations. It's incredible since my Canon can put a canon speedlight ontop so I get fill as well as extremely dynamic lighting. I'm extremely disappointed the trigger base on the cactus v6mk2 trigger does not match and lineup on the shoe of the fuji X-t2.

The triggers from godox or cactus on a fuji X-t20 is extremely large and almost grotesque in size. It actually hides the dials due to it's size compared to the actual camera.

For studio where you have a lot of time on your hands I can deal with looking at a godox trigger lcd with godox lights. I'd love to incorporate godox to my fuji gear. I just have alot of cactus RF60 transceiver flash units though. I'm patiently waiting for some hardware change of the cactus. In the meantime it serves it's purpose for my Canon gear.

For studio I use my sekonic L758 but I think many can buy the cheaper L358 if spot metering isn't a big deal.

Sometimes I even find manually controlling a 7 foot octadome with strobe faster than fiddling with a controller. Only time I feel a remote is really necessary for studio or posed work is when have a setup super high up in the air. Otherwise headshots and studio stuff a control trigger is nice but you can adjust rim light, key etc easily by manually setting like the oldschool ways. Also once it's set you can shoot with little change to the power settings effortlessly and easy-peasy childs play That's why I love studio

Would be nice to have a smaller streamline godox trigger with dials on the side. 4 small dials for groups A,B,C and D. That would be more for run gun purposes for challenging stressful photography sessions vs studio environments.

I love the ad200 so far, powerful enough for headshots with a modifier close to my subject. I picked up a flashpoint c-stand to mount my modifiers with the ad200 and they are great so far as well, only time will tell as far as construction goes for the c-stand. Godox is putting together a nice little setup for the budget friendly photographer.

Waiting on Black Friday to pick up the 600 apparently the price dipped under $500 for the TTL and hss version. Not dying to have the 600 at the moment so I will be patient.

I'd think you would be a good candidate for the dual AD200 bracket mount and initial testing shows to be within 1/3 of the AD600. Good power when you need it and multiple lights when you don't need the power.

Also another option to consider, I love how Fuji went from having only 1 OCF option to a lot in a short time period.

I was shooting a group shot of about 10 people using one AD600 in an Elinchrom deep silver umbrella needed full power plus some ISO to get the light I wanted, could have done with another 600 that day + the dual head. Or a different modifier more suited to the job perhaps...
You can never have to much gear at times.

X32 does offer HSS f.y.i, just not ETTL. And yes I concur, on my Canon gear, I do far prefer the X32 controller. If I am using strobes, as opposed to speedlights, I usually don't use ETTL so I use the X32.

I always forget about the in camera menus,. good reminder!

Oops. Yes I knew that about hss probably meant to write hss and ttl not that that would have much better.

Just ordered the TT685f for my vacation next week Hopefully the TT350f will work well as a commander.

For sure! My girlfriend said she'd model for me at some point next week... I doubt she'll stick to her word, but hopefully
