White to black (including silver), what's the best shade of car for taking spectacular outdoor photographs - assuming the clear coat and paint is in excellent condition?

(2) Canon 6D || Zeiss Sonnar 135mm f/2 || Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 || Sigma 85mm f/1.4 || Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 || Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art || Canon 24mm f/2.8 || Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 || (2) Eg-S Focusing Screen

Black is the most dramatic in the "right" light. Silver looks good in any light. White is the most difficult to show the highlights that you should be going for.
Have you looked at the links in my Sig?

Just did.

With black: how much maintenance is required for a car that's actually used, to keep the CC clear enough for pictures?

Normally I'd say to just wash it & that PS will easily take care of any imperfections. But now I'm wondering what you're trying to show & what will the images be used for?
This is the sort of image that I'm thinking of. What are you thinking of?

I'm thinking of getting a firebird, putting the traditional screaming chicken on the hood, and driving it around the country.. Take landscape shots, but take a lot of shots with the car at least in the scene - if not the central element.

PS can't keep the detail in the reflections in the shots below.

Not that I have the funds to do this any time soon, but here are examples:

I don't see where you would have any problems with that. FWIW, my Cruze above hadn't been washed for two months. ; )
