Hello everyone. Just a quick question. Do you watermark images that you have sold or do you remove them. I ask because a woman contacted me asking for more images of her daughter to print out and i was wondering if i should remove my water mark or leave it on. Thanks for any feed back.

No, don't watermark the ones you sell.

Web sized ... yes. Print sized ... no. Priced accordingly.

Size doesn't matter it is the use. You watermark ones that you post online/on your site to discourage people from stealing and to let people know who made them. It's an advert.

People buying images/prints don't want to buy an advert for your business so remove the watermark.

Agree with all above. I remove the logo the dealership puts on the back of the car I purchase too. If they want me to advertise for them, let's negotiate a fee, lol

I would sign a print, along the bottom, below the actual image. Or I might actually sign on part of the image if there was a suitable area that wasn't important to the overall image. However I wouldn't include a graphical or text watermark or copyright message. That just looks tacky.

I would suggest you the same, it will better to use your signature as watermark in the bottom corner.
