It's pretty frustrating when you purchase Canon's flagship 1DX-MKii camera and then have to purchase another $600 device in order to use Wifi but I digress.

So I'm considering the purchase of this overpriced WFT-e8 transmitter because I want to be able to shoot remotely using my android cell phone while shooting with my Ronin M gimbal. But what concerns me is the horrible reviews that Canon's Connect App has gotten which from what I understand is the only way to actually use your cell phone as the remote device.

I would love to get some feedback from anyone who may have used this transmitter with your cell phone and the Canon Connect App and what your experience has been.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't read any reviews, but I think it works as I expect it to. No real problems, actually. I have the older WFT-E6B, but that shouldn't make any difference.
