Milkweed Tussock Moth caterpillars (Euchaetes egle)

I saw a whole herd of these on the milkweed that I'd let grow for the Monarchs so I had to get a shot of them. Might as well, as I've only seen 5 Monarchs all season, with one caterpillar that only lasted for a few days.
The moths are native & not harmful, so I guess I'll leave them alone.

They are. The colors are similar to the Monarchs in that they warn predators that the moth caterpillar is poisonous if eaten.
