While posting the images here may be interesting, wouldn't a better approach be to post them at https://www.facebook.com/groups/macphunphotography/ (external link) where Alex (Macphun COO) and his staff can examine them move towards a solution? I doubt we can solve the problem here.

Like I said previously, I brought this up with their support team when the first version of Aurora was released and shared the raw files with them. That should be good enough. Meanwhile I will continue to test the trial with each update and see if progress has been made.

I will have to say, they have made significant progress on the merge and tone map front - the other test image set that I use has really improved (an indoor scene with strong window light and the exterior environment within the window itself).

The 2018 version claims to have 4x performance time in RAW processing and image merge plus a whole bunch of other performance issues. It is possible that many parts of the s/w, which is 1 year later for Windows than it was supposed to be, may have come together from other s/w suppliers or subcontractors or other HDR partner.
My only suggestion would be to wait until mid Sept to get hold of a trial version to test it out.
Cheers, Murray

They will get my preorder on the 12th. If they do like previous releases, a 2018 product install is separate from any existing previous generation product. I still have 2016 on my Mac. I guess it is past time to uninstall and delete it.
