Looks like they have good reviews. Just wondering if anyone has bought from them lately and if they are an otherized canon dealer?

Crutchfield is as good or better than any other vendor out there. I have purchased cameras and lenses from their "outlet store". Always exceeded expectations.

It's been a REALLY long time but I have purchased from them in the past. Not sure how or if things have changed.

Crutchfield is highly reliable. When it comes to audio equipment and electronics, they're among the top choices.

They are an authorized Canon dealer

Thanks all for your input. I have a gift card for them and I think I will use it on some new glass.

I purchased a 70-200 2.8 II from them in 2011, good experience.

Two years ago I purchased a Yamaha AV Receiver from them. It never arrived. The UPS tracking showed it left them, but no delivery confirmation. They told me I had to wait two weeks for an investigation before they would send another, or if I wanted one right away, I'd have to pay for it and get credited after the investigation. I waited. It took three weeks and numerous calls and emails to get them ship the replacement. A CSR finally gave me a $50 gift certificate for my troubles. I used that towards an open box pair of high end binoculars a month later. They arrived right away, I opened the box and the lenses fell out. It was obviously not inspected. It took a week of emails to get them to send a pick up ticket and return them.

Many years ago I bought alot of car stereo stuff from them and they were great. My current opinion of them is their customer service is very wanting. There are enough other dealers out there, I would not buy from them again.

This was just my experience.

Not a lens but I bought a 40 inch TV from them about 2 years ago. Everything about the experience was positive and I was particularly impressed on how the TV was packaged.

If you trust the ratings, Crutchfield got 8.87 out of 10 with 330 reviews. See http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Crutchfield (external link)

THE go-to place when car stereos were cool. I was just on the back end of that era. Plenty of 4-letter words flew while attempting a DIY install on a '87 Chevy Celebrity.

Definitely not the first name when I think lenses, but it doesn't matter. They're 110% reputable.

Absolutely! I bought my Canon 600mm II there and I often buy other electronics from them, if the price is right. Many credit cards offer bonus points when shopping at Crutchfield. Also, they have their own point system that offers additional savings. At the best part of buying there is 60 day, no questions asked, return policy!

I have bought Canon lenses from them. Last time was 5 years ago. No issues. Every now and then they have a sale on one or two Canon lenses lower than anywhere else.

Is Crutchfield a safe place to by a lens from yes a good place no. Had you purchased lens from B&H Photo you would have
received a 4% reward that would have put $81.96 in your pocket. By the way Crutchfield shows the lens as being out of
stock.

It showed low stock when I ordered it. I had a 900 hundred dollar gift card for crutchfield. So that is why I asked about them and ordered from them. I will see how it goes soon enough.
