I've had a few duplicate notifications (at the same time) for some posts like this one from Tixeon:

Still, only one like is registered as it should. Has anyone else seen that?

Was it in two different tabs/windows?

I assume you know this, but if not;

If you have two tabs or windows open, both will put up the notification if you have not yet acknowledged it elsewhere. If you click "thanks" or "X" on one tab,. it has no effect on the tab that is still open with the same pop up.

By the time I get to POTN, I usually have 3 tabs open in FFox. I usually see this when I login, so 1 tab in POTN + 2 others. But I hadn't seen this behavior before a week ago.
