Well this was a pleasant surprise I saw after getting home.

What did you use as far as filters/protection?
I didn't want to risk frying my good stuff, so I used a GoPro 5 black with the solar blackout glasses over the lens.

No filter on this for totality. This was with my 1D Mark lV and a 400 2.8

I actually had a couple as well and like you said, a pleasant surprise once I downloaded them from the camera!

I wish this one would have had better focus as I believe I bumped my focus ring when removing the solar filter.

BTW, these are not flares, they are prominences :-)
