Has anyone used Whitewall labs? I always use Miller's or MPIXPRO, yeah I know they are basically the same.

Saw whitewall had an option for a project and was looking for feedback.

Thanks for the response Dan. I always like to get input to support online research before making the initial order. Branching into metal prints....

If you are talking about the site at www.whitewall.com (external link)http://http:\\www.whitewall.com/ … (external link) they started out as a lab based in Berlin. Here in the UK we still get the products shipped over from Germany. I know that they also have an operation based in the USA, but I was not aware that they were working with anyone else in the US. I know that there is a similar sounding lab in the US that is part of a multi brand operation, so I'm not sure exactly which lab you are talking about.

When it comes to the lab I linked to their work is as good as any I have seen. I have their old sample box, it's about three or four years old now, but everything in it is top notch quality wise. I have used them a couple of times, since they are the only lab that I have seen that does digital printing onto traditional Ilford silver halide black and white photo papers. I have two prints on the Ilford paper, one on the RC and one on the Baryta Fiber Base paper. When I had the original print on the RC paper done the print had a very small blemish on the wide border I had added. I grabbed a quick image of the problem and emailed them about it. I got a reply within a few minutes apologizing for the problem and informing me that they had started the reprint process, and I would get my replacement print in due course, which I did. The print on the FB paper is probably the best print of one of my monochrome images that I have ever seen. I used to use the same Ilford MG IV papers in the darkroom back when I was shooting film, from some time in the late 1970's.

I would highly recommend the lab that I have experience with, but that might not be the lab you are looking at.
