....and its soft focus and crazy bokeh.
I adore this lens, it's among my favourite portrait lenses (the other ones: leitz summilux 85, angenieux 135, and n.1 IMHO Minolta Rokkor 58 f/1.2). The magic of the luminescent relationship between subject and those bubbling background.....unique, and that (again, unique) kind of stack, separation.
Someone tells......but the subject is on the side, there are 2 photos.....well, I like this, being all we on the side of being.
Tastes, and ideas.:-)
all the best,
sandro

Lovely model but she is underexposed compared to the background which takes the eye to that crazy bokeh and off the subject.

This lens is $1,500 bucks? Whoa...

I never really understood soft focus. If its soft its not in focus and you may not want everything sharp but most of the time something should be sharp in an image.

I saw this too. I had kind of the same response.

Soft focus isn't my thing either, but David Hamilton's entire career was about soft focus. Apparently many like it.

If this lens is as spectacular as you say then these images do not show it's potential. Besides an attractive woman there is nothing good about these pictures. The white balance, lighting and focus all could use some help.
