Selling due to lack of interest. Used this lens excusively and treated it like a 70-200 and shot all sorts of my kids things. Over a year ago I got the 200 F2 and I haven't used this lens since. The OS unit went out from lack of use so I sent it off and cost me $260 to replace the OS unit. The front barrel was damaged during shipping and Sigma replaced the front barrel at that time. Lens is back from Sigma and I'm ready to sell. Lens body is 9/10, glass is 9/10 there is some dust inside but doesn't affect IQ. Lens tripod foot shows the most wear since I held the lens by the foot and the hood has minimal rubs from normal use. The OS unit is working great and the lens came back sharper than before. It's AF has always been spot on for me in everything I gave it. Price is PP/Shipped at $1525 firm. Item comes with new art style front cap, rear canon cap, sigma warranty book, sigma strap for lens, sigma case, hood and tripod foot. This lens is extremely versatile and it's performance is strong and a real value at this price point.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question. Will a Canon 1/4x III teleconverter work on this lens?

Works great!

Here is a quick sample SOOC with the 1.4x III handheld at 1/30 = 4 stops of OS. Here is a sample with the 1.4xIII and also a shot of the hood and tripod foot showing the wear on the foo from handling.

Another shot of the lens itself and a sample @ 300mm 2.8 w/ the 5D3 at around a 50% crop.

Thanks for the reply. I actually thought it wouldn't work and that you'd need a Sigma converter. If I can get a decent price out of my Canon 100-400 v1 I would trade up since I wouldn't need that lens any more. I'm thinking I'd have 420mm at f/4.0 instead of 400mm at f/5.6.
