Adobe CS6 and Adobe CC

Would it create conflicts (in terms of program registration) to install both on the same computer? I'm currently considering switching my post-processing completely over to my PC, but first I'd like to try it on my Mac, but I also don't want to uninstall CS6 just yet. Has anyone had both on the same computer had the same time? Were there any ill effects of uninstalling one but not the other (in terms of plug-ins not working anymore, that kind of stuff)?

No.

Had CS3, CS5, and the original CC all on the same computer once with no ill effects. As far as I know the same applies to all of Adobe's programs, multiple versions are fine.

Turns out that installing Adobe CC can, after all, affect installations of non-CC software, unless you are very careful. Careful or not, it seem to have messed up my Nik plug-ins, as I thought it would (which don't work on CS6 anymore now that I've uninstalled CC from my Mac).

CC will update, more or less automatically, non-CC software to strip the (useful) functionalities that they inexplicably removed from newer versions of the software (i.e. the Output module from Bridge, easy exports from Bridge, etc.). I can't even remember having been prompted to update my non-CC Adobe Acrobat X licence, but it did so anyway and replaced it with a gutted version of Adobe Acrobat DC which works only half the time.

Haven't tried reinstalling and re-updating to the newest non-CC versions yet, but my little finger tells me that this might be an issue. Hoping it won't be, but my expectations are set very low at the moment.

I had them both on Windows 10, I didn't have any problems other then open with default program kept going to CC. That and CC was slower so I deleted CC and use CS6.

Oh they both run fine side-by-side but updating CS6 through CC will strip of its functionalities and, when I uninstalled CC, the CS6 wouldn't fully work anymore.

Maybe I am suspicious but seems like Adobe would like to kill the non-subscription version.

hehe that's exactly what I think. I haven't re-installed yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if I encountered issues trying to do so. CC also killed my legally licenced non-subscription Adobe Acrobat Pro X.
