OK so lets start with, "I have no association with ACDSee".
I have been using their ultimate product now for a couple of years.
I also have elements 13 and PS 5.1.
ACDSee photostudio ultimate 2018 is my product of choice for image editing. I find it easy to use, with most of the tools that I need. No it is not PS, but then it also does not have the learning curve PS does.
Many make a lot of noise about its file management tools, personally I use what is built into windows, with my own directory structure.
I love the way it handles RAW, in many cases I can make all the modificiations I need without even going into full edit mode, changes that are reversable.
It has limitations, so does all software, but for me it does most of what I want, some exceptions include image stacking, so I keep PS 5.1 for this.
The new 2018 product is much faster with many improvements, and features such as their LightEQ and sharpening mask seem unsurpassed for a non-professional like me.
Ultimately if you find a piece of software easy to use, does most of what you want to the point where it is easy to make a quick change without thinking, then that product is the one you need to be using.
