Aloha,

Trying to help someone, pretty stumped here. 5d3, can't adjust the exposure compensation, it's greyed out. Same story in Q menu. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The camera is in Manual mode. Select another mode.

Hmm. My 5ds r will select it in manual. Did a little more digging, guess it's not available on the 3. So very strange. Thanks!

My 80D can do EC in Manual. My 6D can't. Go figure.

Only some models have auto ISO modes in manual that support EC.

The more recent ones, typically. Cameras like the 1DX (introduced in 2012) got the ability through a firmware update.

I think these are most of the models that have EC in manual auto ISO:

1DX
7D2
1DX2
5D4
80D
6D2
SL2/200D
5DS/5DSR

Possibly the T7i/77D as the SL2 has it... I am sure this is not the complete list, but should give an idea why some have it and others don't.
