Given your rep.
Which lens do your statistics tell you you use the most.

My preference is my 85 1.2 v2.

I prefer the Canon FD 85mm f/1.2. Can't be beat.

Canon 800 F5.6 L IS - but only for 80/90 % of my photography!

I have some shorties like the 300 F2.8 and 100-400 Mk2 - but the 800 is the lens of choice almost all the time.

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

100-400Lc.
Next closest is 70-200 f/4L IS USM with less than 1/2 the 100-400 count.

I thought this might be interesting for myself, to take a look at see if there is one lens I really use all the time, or if there are lenses I do not use. But looking at all shots I've kept from the last five years (to keep it to a time when my lens set was quite stable), it appears that I have the lenses I want. Which is why my lens group has been quite stable.

24L II - 4%
50L - 6%
85L II - 7%
16-35L II - 5%
24-70L II - 11%
24-105L - 12%
70-200L II - 22%
100-400L II - 20%
120-300/2.8 - 14%

Out of all this, I had decided to sell off the 16-35 II a bit over a year ago. I already knew it was my least used zoom, and looking at the shots and how I cropped them, I realized I was needed a focal length wider than 24mm very infrequently. So I sold it.

The cumulative 17% usage of the three primes always leaves them as candidates to be sold off, but when I am using the primes I'm almost always at an aperture larger than f/2.8. So I hang on to them, and yet I am very unlikely to spend money on the next great thing (like updating the 85L II to this new 85/1.4 IS.)

I use a Canon 5DIII and a Sony A7rIII
