I mount it on my camera and am able to change an off camera flash's setting on my camera. But I am not able to fire the off camera flash. I replace it with my other yn622 trigger and it fires the off camera flash. I tired to factory reset the trigger, replace batteries etc. nothing helped. I am wondering if anyone else has run into this problem before and if there is a way to fix it?

Have you tried to press down the pin down a few time and make sure it springs back the the proper height? I tried to press the 'test' button and it wont fire the off camera flash either. I guess the trigger is dead. Should I pick up the v2 of the yn622 or stick to v1? The v2 looks the same as v1 except with the addition of a usb port, which I am unsure if it is needed.

Yes that too. I never go above 1/1000s so I dont think that will be useful for me. As for firmware update, what exactly can be done? These things can be touchy with low power. Yes already tried swapping batteries from the working one to the non working one. Also tried some newly charged batteries.
