Thanks GlimmerMan. When you are referring to balance, do you mean photographic balance or literally the model balancing herself on the street curb?

There are a lot of highlights, enough that the highlights make-up the image, and are not single point sources >>

I kinda like the OOF poster with the repeating shape (models arms and the shape arm of the couple BG). Maybe the model is dreaming of such an embrace?

Thanks for the explanation, GlimmerMan. But to be perfectly honest and it may be sacrilegious to say, I never think about the highlights when I shoot. So if I somehow had a good outcome, it was achieved unconsciously. :)
As an example in this shot, parts of Amber's shirt, the pier and BG are completely blown, but I just spot metered her face and took the shot.

That's what I saw when I composed the shot. Hand and arm position always presents a problem for me whenever I shoot environmental portraits. When I saw the billboard, I asked Amber caress herself and took the shot. I'm happy you were able to pick that up. :)
