I'm switching to Sony and thus, these flashes need to go. I already sold my 2 Canon 600EX II-RT but I do have the Canon ST-E3-RT trigger, please see my upcoming ad for it. The Canon ST-E3-RT will be priced at $225 shipped/insured/PayPal'd.
This is an updated clone (hence "version II") of the Canon 600EX-RT flash. These are SUBSTANTIALLY less expensive, but spec'd nearly the same as the Canon. New they run about $110 each.
Note: I dropped one of these which was inside of a softbox. Because of the drop, it makes a louder noise than the other two when zooming in or out. Functionally, it works just like the other two. Because I dropped it, I'm including it for free with the purchase of the other two, the trigger (trigger listed below - YN-E3-RT), and the Eneloop AA batteries (also, below). If you don't want the entire package and I have to break it all up, I'm keeping the loud flash as I still have a Canon 5D Mark IV.
The flashes are still all in VERY good cosmetic condition (9) and as I said, functionally, they work exactly as they should.
The YN-E3-RT trigger is practically identical to the Canon trigger (ST-E3-RT) except that it has a focus assist beam and can trigger flashes from 3x as far away as the Canon trigger. I used this on the 5Ds (alongside the ST-E3-RT trigger on the 5D Mark IV) because when I purchased it, the focus assist beam was not compatible with the 5D Mark IV. I think they've issued a FW update for the YN-E3-RT trigger to fix that, but I'm not certain. Regardless, it's certainly not at a disadvantage compared to the Canon trigger. New it's about $72.
The Yongnuo flashes and triggers work seamlessly with the Canon flashes and triggers. I used these in conjunction with the Canon ST-E3-RT and 2 of the 600EX II-RT flashes and once I had them setup, I couldn't remember what was where (a good thing). They just worked seamlessly together. The ONLY thing I noticed was that the recycle rate is faster on the Canon 600 version II but I believe the recycle rate for the Yongnuo is similar to the Canon 600 version I (which is to say, awesome).
Eneloop AA batteries... I have 2 of the 8 packs that I literally never opened. I didn't expect the batteries to last as long as they did so I never felt a need to unpack these. New these are $19 per pack. In total, there are 16 rechargeable batteries and you'll need 14 to run the 3 flashes and trigger.
Why choose these flashes instead of Canon's? Well, they're SO much cheaper. THAT'S why! You get a TON of power in these 600 series flashes and they're using the RT technology. You can trigger the flashes with another flash or with the transmitter via radio signal which means you don't need "line of sight" (in other words, you don't have to be able to physically see the flash to trigger it). IMO, these are a GREAT buy for anyone in the Canon system. Already have flashes? These are great as backups or to explore more creative lighting. Don't have any? These are CHEAP! You can break into the world of flash photography for VERY LITTLE money.
There's a LOT of value here for $260. And remember, if you take the entire package, you're getting the 3rd flash (which works perfectly) for free.
