It may be more practical to just buy a spare battery.

Yeah, unless you are already carrying the solar charger etc, a single spare would probably do the trick if you are careful with usage.

Depending on your budget....battery grips often include cradles that use AA batteries. You can have that and a stockpile of AA batteries.

Some third party batteries come with chargers that can be powered either by 115 ac or by a automotive cigarette lighter adapter.

Here's one:

I assume the cigarette charger would work just fine hooked up to any 12vdc supply. A couple of alligator clips might do in a pinch.

Or cut off the cig lighter plug and connect the remaining wire directly to your solar cell output.

What's the output voltage of your solar cells?

I would think it would take a pretty substantial solar panel to generate enough current to charge those batteries.

If you will have access to your car I would just use an inverter. If not, get spare batteries.

No need for an inverter, there are USB and 12vdc chargers on the market. If you get a USB charger, then any solar charger system can power that charger, although it could take some time to charge just 1 or 2 batteries.

You could look at solar panels with USB and use with USB charger for LP-E6. I don't have experience with them but all are commonly available and seems doable. With this setup you also have charging available for other USB devices.

I haven't yet tried that, and won't be able to tomorrow as Irma's remnants make their way into the midwest. On a full sunny afternoon day, this particular pack runs 16w at 3.2amp. I wouldn't be surprised if both battery packs plugged into that charger wouldn't charge in a few hours. I have seen those numbers thrown around elsewhere too.

It is a nice solar pack, and I only bought it because it was discounted so heavily. It will come in handy when we do band events on the weekends and need to keep phones charged, etc. I have like 6 LP-E6 packs and usually have them all charged before an outing though, so I will seldom need to charge them onsite. I already have 2 or 3 LP-E6 Canon chargers, and I liked this USB dual charger, so it will get some use at home as well. There are blinking lights all over my counter when I am charging all of these and the plethora of Eneloops. :)

I plan on charging some of my AA batteries with this kit as well, and also everyone in my family have those small power bricks (10,000mah) for their USB devices, so we will charge those with this panel too. Ideally, if I wanted to do this correctly, I would put a solar array at the base of my deck facing W/SW and run a power line into the basement into a USB charging array for all our devices, battery chargers, etc. Of course we have subdivision bylaws to follow... :(
