That's too bad you had this limit. I've seen these guys play some pretty small venues here locally so they are really not that big of a draw to have a limit like this. From my past experience they really don't even get going until well into the middle of their sets. Fabulous performers! Love the trombone shot...

Thank you!

Yes, last year at the Wonder Ballroom there were no restrictions.

You are absolutely right that they don't really warm up until about the third song. I should have just not pulled out the camera until then.
Live and learn.

I will ask management next time and see if they can get the venue to let me stay.

Yes I remember when you posted these before and they were much more representative of their show. It's all political when it comes to song limits. Most of the time the band members don't even care and you are usually dealing with either the band manager or the venue manager who seem to like to impose their authority even when not needed but you need to go by what you are told or otherwise rise being banned from future events. If you befriend the band you can get them to let you do anything they are good with.

Wow, I remember seeing them at Satyricon around 1990.

Anyone here remember the Satyricon? :)

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
