The only one I vaguely remember was on cameras and lens combos.

Am I delusional in hoping they will have a lens sale? Really looking to get the 16mm 1.4 and at one point it was on sale for $300 off.

Nope. Last lens rebates were at the end of last year.

If they do plan on having any rebates this year I would guess they will be late in the year around the holidays. But that IF they have any

Do they really think I have the willpower to last that long?

That's what they are hoping for - you cave and pay full price. Realistically they had enough lens sales everyone expects them now and won't buy until one happens. Marketing wise they need to wait until a sale is actually a sale and not just something that is expected.

I suspect the next sale will be for the XF 80 mm Macro. I expect sales on that one to be a major disappointment for them. While I believe it to be a fantastic lens and definitely worth having, the price is exorbitant, so I suspect many will pass on it until they lower the price to make it affordable. At the opening price it is great for some one really into Macro, but for the average fellow very expensive. I know I am holding on to my Canon 6D/100 mm rather than pay that price, I suspect others will be doing something similar. The Rokinon/Samyang 100 mm Fuji mount keeps looking better all the time as well.

FUJI XT1 -> XF 10-24, XF 18-55, XF 55-200, XF 27mm pancake
6D -> Canon 28mm f2.8 IS, Canon 50mm f1.4, Canon 85mm f1.8, Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro IS
Canon 24-105 f4L, Canon EF 70-200 f4L IS USM, Canon EF 100-400L IS
7D -> Canon EF-S 15-85

I had my 56 and XT-1 in that sale, saved about £400 if I remember correctly. Because I couldn't decide between the 10-24/14/23 I didn't get a third item, regretting that now.

love their annual sales... everything new become the price of used.

My entire hobby of gear lust has temporarily been shifted into overload. Please be patient while my mind tries to get back onto the road to recovery. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause....

Follow the prices for a few weeks. When you see them spike a few hundred $$ a rebate is coming dropping the price back to the pre-spike levels.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

If I did not have the 90 already, I would have purchased the 80. I am not going to buy both *LOL*

Yep. :)

Used prices on the 90 will drop when the 80 comes out, too, no doubt. The 80 has stabilization which many wish they had on the 90. A drop in speed to f2.8 won't bother some, who will find the close focusing (macro) capabilities a good trade-off.

Here in Canada...Aden Camera had a great deal on the Tamron 70-200 G2 for $1399 CDN which just ended. Listed as open box because the price was so low...however, after speaking to them it was never used original with warranty and BRAND NEW.

Waiting for Tamron 24-70 "open box" sale...signed up for email list

Tamron's 45mm f/1.8 G2 prime is on sale for $399! Selling my Nikon 50mm f/1.4 to help finance the order I just placed! I hung on to my f/1.8G when I got the f/1.4 a little over a year ago. To be honest, the Nikon f/1.8 performs just as well as the f/1.4, and is sharper if you ask me.

This year's sale just started about 30min ago. Unfortunately its not as great as the one last year. I was looking forward to getting the 56mm f/1.2 which last year had a discount of $200, but this year's is only $100 off. :-(

Much rarer sales with a bit less of a discount make resale of lenses stronger, so you can get more back on the used market.

That's when I had mine, going to bite at these prices anyhow, just can't decide between the 14/2.8, 23/1.4 or the 10-24/4
