Anyone use Synology's Cloud Station?

I have 2 Synology NAS that are currently in my house, but I was thinking of putting one in my mom's house and syncing them (clearing old/outdated junk on one of them)

It LOOKS like I would need to set up Cloud Station Server and Cloud Station ShareSync (on both?)

Has anyone used cloud station and/or synced with multiple NAS? I like the idea of using my existing hardware and having distribution across locations backed up. I don't feel super confident in the software to be bug-free and screw up syncing or worse, deleting files it shouldn't.

I have 2 DS216II and 1 DS214. One of the 216s is running Cloud Station Server and the other units running sharesnyc and they've been flawless as far a being in sync.

I have design files that I have locally on the 216 in my home office syncing with my friends DS214 so that he has a backup of the working files and access to the print ready files as I complete them. No more emailing files back and forth.

I also have photos on my local 216 (edited JPEGs) that sync with a 216 that I have set up with my assistant at her home so that when I finish editing photos she has them so that she can place photo orders through the ROES software that she has for the lab we use.

I've had this setup going for about a year and so far I'm very happy with it. Hope this helps you.

I haven't installed any of the apps on my diskstations - can you configure them i.e. one-way sync only to avoid file deletions and whatnot?

You absolutely can. You can also configure which folders/files sync as well. (Selective Sync is what they call it, I think.)
