So I got my Canon EOS M3 today and took off the lid. I wanted to clean the sensor so I huffed on it and then cleaned it with my t shirt? Will it be alright?

If the grime is really baked on, I will pull out a polyester scouring pad on that glass. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

After putting the glass back in the cupboard, and looking at my camera sensor, nope, T-shirts are not in my list of approved cleaning material. T-shirts are reserved for eyeglasses, an occasional drinking glass, a spoon or two, and yard work. Not for cleaning sensors on electronic devices.... Can be used for lenses in a pinch. Just be sure to rinse off the soap by holding the camera under a stream of warm water. If I had a sand-blaster that would be my preferred approach. Joe

No joke, my mother-in-law was trying to scrub off baked on bugs from her car and when a rag didn't do it, she used a kitchen scrub pad. Totally destroyed the paint. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
