Our church is looking to create a recipe/cook book and I've had some idea floating around in my head on how I want to photograph the food.
I'm thinking something along these lines with the ingredients surrounding the actual course.

I didn't have any food cooked to show, and I just grabbed random stuff from the fridge and pantry but you get the idea. LOL

Good idea, but that white plate will make anything you put on it look darker by comparison. Just something to think about.

Nice clean shot and great lighting. What's the green chunky stuff at the bottom of the frame?
