After much consideration, I have just switched from a backpack full of Canon gear to all Nikon and I have to say I'm really pleased I made the change.

I have a D810 and love it. I do however have one thing that's niggling me that I hoping someone can shed some light on. In image review, I have the highlights screen showing. It always displays a blinking yellow RGB. I thought that this meant that I had clipped the highlights but it blinks whatever the exposure.

I have tried to find an explanation in the manual, on Google, on Youtube etc. but the few references I can find, all seem to suggest that it blinks to show clipping of the highlights. Mine blinks even if I have taken a totally black image.

Hoping that someone can please put me right ?

thanks

Jeff
