3736 pixel wide crop. So to meet my personal standards, I can crop off nearly 2000 pixels on the wide side and make an 8x12 print.
(Assuming good light, which I had for this)

So Choder would not you agree that anyone into bierds/BIF/wildlife/macro(thanks to Gary) is seriously remiss not looking strongly at the 10iv ???

Absolutely. It's not like this thread is in the 'sealed section'. The evidence is posted here for anyone to evaluate.

Anyone with input to JPG Standard/Fine/Extra Fine?
I did not even notice the Extra fine and chose Fine when I was setting up. I'm thinking now that Fine and Extra Fine are just Standard but with sharpening applied. So today I have changed to Standard.

I think results are cleaner, this is a crop, (4032 pixel wide crop) ISO 400. Just a wee bit of USM applied to the bird. (6/1.0/0 in CS4)

Male powerful owl holding a ring-tailed possum. Great application for the RX10, it's in mangroves, not a particularly friendly photography environment.

And now I'm just being ridiculous. 4.8 Megapickles of the original 20. Not stunning, but not horrible either.

I've always used extra fine. The image file size is bigger and seems to give me a little bit more to play.

Yeah, I took 3 sets of Standard, Fine and Extra Fine today, noticed the file sizes. I'll have to do some fiddling and see what I can find. I think I was wrong about the sharpening.

Nice shot, but I have to ask. What is he eating, I seem to remember seeing these as a kid but never knew what they where.
