Hannibal I doubt you'll be disappointed. The 10iv is very capable and of many genres.
I think Sony is milking so much out of the 1 inch sensor.....but it is still a 1 incher and in my environ I
need to keep reminding myself of that.

Showed this to one of my co-workers and he said 'from a 1 inch sensor ?'
I replied 'a Sony 1 inch sensor'

Late afternoon and in the rain is pushing this sensor quite a bit, but this one came out ok I think.

I went out with my MK4 today took a few shots. These 2 were taken jpeg, both cropped, no editing straight out of the camera. There is alot to learn from this camera. I need to find a comprehensive book on the features of the cam. I tried a few video shots- so far I like this camera. Only wish it had an aps-c size sensor.

DP Review has given the RX10iv an 84, good enough for Gold.

Is this score high enough?

My RX10 IV arrived here today. Even after years of being spoiled by Canon DSLR's with boat anchor weight lenses, I'm happy and impressed.

I'll give it a month or two but but a bunch of gear will likely find a new home.

Congratulations on your new camera! I've had mine now for a couple of weeks and am still amazed at what Sony has given us.

I for one never could make head nor tails with DP's reviews....same with DXO. All above my paygrade.
Remember DP gave the a99ii silver=wtf ??? I guess they have their way and method. Reminds me of movie
reviews, best done yourself.

Oh, no doubt about it--reviewers are almost always flawed because each human has their own preferences. Or something like that.

What got my attention in the DP review was that they said the RX10iv could hang with any body at its price point as a sports camera. They had to knock it for not being able to AF (AF Track?) while zooming in or out, which tells me they had to look really hard for something to complain about.

Still playing. This time with a big lens.

Snapshot of one of the four 12m reflectors in the VERITAS (Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System) ground-based gamma-ray instrument at the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory. The 10m predecessor of VERITAS detected the first TeV gamma-ray source, the Crab Nebula in 1989.

There's a full res version in Flickr stream.

One of the two neighborhood hawks. I see at least one 4-5 days a week. This one was waiting unbeknownst to me
around the corner of the house about 50 feet away. I got off two shots before he saw me and took off. Catch light in the
eye would have been nice-
