Aviation Image Editing/Post-Processing: Before and After

I noticed there wasn't a thread showing before and after images for aviation photos and those threads are some of my favorites on here. There was the "Before & After shots....." thread, but the last post there was in 2012 and it appears to have been replaced by the "Automotive Image Editing/Post-Processing: Before and After". Here is the equivalent thread for aviation shots.

I'll start it off with a photo of the cockpit of a Subsonex, a single-seat homebuilt jet (http://www.sonexaircra​ft.com/subsonex/ (external link)). The base photo is an HDR compilation of 3-bracketed shots. I've included the middle bracket as the before shot. The background Milky Way shot was shot by and used with permission from a friend. The original Milky Way shot has Mount Rainier in the background. You can see a little bit of the mountain remaining on the right-side of the image between the instrument panel and the canopy.
