Some of my best from the recent Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow. A great show, although the weather was challenging for photos. More photos on request.

All photos taken with Canon EOS 7D MkII & EF 400 5.6L on monopod @ 1/400 sec.

Wow wow wow, some beautiful, rare birds there ! Nicely done, thanks for sharing these.

For some reason I've always been captivated by the PBY Catalina - also of course the magnificent Supermarine Spitfire.

I'm mainly here for the snacks

Hard to believe that was all 77 years ago. Nice to be able to just be there and listen to the sound of those aircraft in formation. There are times at air shows I attend, where perhaps four high-powered WW2 aircraft buzz the field in formation, that I just holster my camera and stand there and just take it all in.

Nice shots, but just to be pedantic, it's the Nimrod Mk I, not the Mk II. Apart from the fact it's listed as the Mk I in the flying program, you can easily tell the two marks apart. The original Mk I has a straight upper wing, while the Mk II has a swept back upper wing. I finally got some of my images from the saturday organised, and posted to my Flickr.

Thanks, but I have to disagree. According to the operators Historic Aircraft Collection website K3661 is a Nimrod II! The MK I is S1581 operated by The Fighter Collection.
