If anyone has one for sale, please contact me. I find I need it, and cannot find a download for what I need. I'm using a MacBook Pro. Many thanks!

This is a list of all the downloads currently available for the 5D:

I don't know what's on the digital solutions disk...so I'm not sure if this will help you.

Probably a better link...https://www.usa.canon.com …QH8HIC0L88RB0AMD0F1Q42K25 (external link). Once there toggle the Operating System choice to indicate what you have on the Macbook. It is quite an extensive list (depending on OS) but unfortunately when I select OS X ver 10.8 (Mountain Lion) the list shrinks to three items, one of which is DPP 3.15.0 Updater. If you select OS X then you have a list of 28 items but none are the Digital Solutions Disk, just the individual components.

An alternative would be to buy a part camera off eBay. http://www.ebay.com …eb358c:g:S0oAAOSwgiRZ1pPj (external link) for instance is sitting at $100 (will likely go higher) and includes a disk but not clear if it is the Digital Solutions Disk or jsut some software.

If you are just having issues installing the "updater" versions of software, see http://www.northlight-images.co.uk …mera-software-without-cd/ (external link) for some help on how to install updater packages when you no longer have the original disk.

Another fallback would be to go to the Asian websites and download something of similar vintage to the 5D. Digital Solutions Disk software 29.1A for instance is available at http://support-th.canon-asia.com …nts/TH/EN/0200410002.html (external link).

Digital Solutions Disk software 28.2A is at http://support-th.canon-asia.com …nts/TH/EN/0200302502.html (external link).

Want to go back even further...https://archive.org …n_Disk_Version_22.4_Canon (external link) has a downlaod for version 22.4. Download what is called an ISO image and burn that to a CD.

Thanks, John...

I bought a 5Dc some time back and it came with everything, including the solution disk. I looked at the contents and it has lots of odd files on it, at least odd to me. I would guess it's copy protected somehow. I wouldn't mind trying to clone it but I'm not even sure I'd know how without some instruction. I don't want to sell it, since the 5Dc is still a hmmmm classic.

The Solution Disk included with my now ancient 5Dc is version 14.3, if that helps at all.

What specifically are you trying to get out of it? DPP? Or something else?

Very best,

Your original disk is probably not copy protected in any manner.

I don't know what is on a MacBook but if you provide some exact details of the machine someone here can likely provide relatively easy instructions on how to burn a CD or go to https://www.wikihow.com/Burn-a-CD-on-a-MacBook (external link).

I use a PC, but the solution disk has both sets of files on it. Among the many things I don't know is.... does my machine only "see" the PC stuff or can it "see" both and copy the entire disk?

Usually it will copy everything to the new CD and depending on what OS the PC may have, you may be able to make the new CD with Windows Explorer.
