Neat photo. The others are pretty good too. I would probably up the contrast a bit.

Where did you go on vacation?

I too am interested where you went. It looks like it might have been a tough winter judging by the lack of body fat on the four legged critters. You got some great shots. I'm not technically savvy to crique but I know what I like and think every shot is extremely well done. They are the kind of images I would like to get.

Looks like we were typing at the same time. I thought it looked like that area, we spent many a family vacation out there when I was young. The cabins, gentle mountains, and sorghum press brought back memories.

It is a bit early yet to catch the mountain laurel in bloom, isn't it late May that the mountain sides blaze in pink and white? Some day I have to get back there and try to capture those images. We will be in the Shennedoah Valley region come mid June in Laury, VA. Maybe we will capture some pictures as nice as these.

Perhaps my monitor is out of calibration, but all of the pictures in the 03-16 gallery, including #8886, above, all seem to have a slightly orange cast. Please do not panic - wait to see if anyone else sees it as a color balance problem at your end.

You've got him focused properly, but all the surrounding OOF tall vegetation tends to be a little distracting.

Very nice picture, but I like most of the other shots in your gallery better, such as #8517.

As Robert Lay notes a definite colorcast to the picture above.

Nice shot though.

I can definatly tell the color cast now that I'm home viewing it on a CRT and not a laptop monitor. :-) Thanks!
