Autumn sunset over a bog in New England

I was driving around in an area with bogs/wetlands, and the sunset was so vibrant and beautiful. I pulled over on the side of the road and snapped this one real quick.

Single RAW or multiple HDR merged?

It was a single shot!

I exposed correctly for the sky, but then over-exposed by about 1/2 stop to get some more detail in the shadows. After that in the RAW conversion, I pulled the highlights down some more, and brought the shadows up a bit more. My fear was that in doing that I got rid of too much overall contrast in the image, but I think it worked out!

Nicely done especially for a single exposure!

I always envision a bog to be cold and cooler colors, so its interesting to see something so warm.

Honestly, me too, but the sky was just amazing, and the changing colors of the leaves contributed to the warmth of the image as well. I was lucky I had my camera on me and stumbled upon this scene.
