I know nothing of this lens. That price tells me that B&H has a large stock of them that isn't moving. Hhmmmm? Why not?

This is the second time I have seen this lens at this price. Last time I read www.the-digital-picture.com 's review and decided to pass. Lots of CA and not all that sharp on the longer end.

Agreed. Decent glass is hard to come by if budget is a huge concern. This IS a deal. On a related note, I have the Tokina 11-20 f/2.8. Build quality is good, and I find it quite acceptable at f/2.8, and better stopped down. Nothing wrong with Tokina.

I picked it up the last time it sold for this price. For the price it's decent. For $449 it would not be worth it.

Bought one the last time they were this price,For the money its a very good Lens..Its built like a tank also.
