X-e3 smaller body

Probably not really "thread" worthy but today I compared the size of the X-E2s and X-E3 and noticed the newer X-E3 is shorter in length.

What I also observed was the bump on the rear body where your thumb sits is more substantial. This allows better clamping surface area for your right thumb/hand so you do not drop your X-E3.

Not fully understanding why Fuji would go smaller in the X-E3 model.

Are you thinking of adding another Fuji body to your kit?

I definitely want to purchase another X-t2 or newer model when it comes out.

I'm actually waiting for Fuji to produce an X-t2s with the "unicorn story" that they will be putting in image stabilization built in body (rumour). But honestly IBIS is a nice to have but for a lot of my photos I prefer higher iso with faster shutter speed. Image stabilization is nice though.

I'd love to get the new 80mm f/2.8. I'm still miss owning two or three fuji bodies at the same time. I really do like shooting two fuji bodies at the same outing.

At the moment I'm actually enjoying my 5mdk4 primary combo with Fuji with 56mm mounted on it. Great combo for me

Probably because they can!

To give another option to the segment, if someone wants a small ASP-C camera the X-T20 or X-E3 (or X100f) are there. I was shocked at how small the X-T20 was, I mean it's X100f sized, perhaps a little bit smaller.

Why not go smaller? You just said they improved the grip while shrinking the size... so why not?

I likely would have bought an X-E3, but the removal of the pop-up flash is a total deal breaker for me.

Far more people would have complained had they made it larger... you can't please everyone, especially in the photography world!
