if you shoot mainly action and sports, a 1DX would be good.
if you shoot many things, you may want to consider 5D4 and keep the 7D.

if budget is an issue, you may want to consider a 7D2 and a 6D2. :p

The 5d4 works just fine for sports. One doesn't need the 1dx for that.

Yes my 7d is the first one.
1D 4 is attempting but since its 1.3 crop its not just as attempting as a FF
i know i might have issues with "only" 200mm on a FF body but i've got an 2x extender so that should help me those times i really need it. And im not planning to sell the 7D either ;)

In Norway we have really bad light at the winter, yes in the north we got weeks without seeing the sun at all so thats just another reason to buy :)

Definitely get the 1dx then. It will handle the low light situations.

Nice. It may be time to sell the 70-200 and get a 100-400 then. :)

Yeah, I'm with you there. The way I see it is,

"The 1Dx works just fine for sports, one doesn't need the more expensive 5D4 for that."

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
