New photoshop won't work.

Morning everyone. I just made the mistake of updating my lightroom and photoshop cc. Problem is now photoshop won't work. I can start it up pick a picture to edit it the raw image opens in camera raw i can edit that image but when i click on open image the image disappears and whats left of photoshop is frozen and i have to go to task manager to close so any help would be great.

have you tried restarting your computer?

yes and i unchecked the box for using the GUI as i had problems with this when i first installed photoshop 4 months ago.

I've been reading a lot of installation issues with others as well. I better hold off on the updates since I have a wedding from this past weekend to edit and two more weddings coming in the nest three weeks.

Maybe try running the update again?

You can also install the previous (CC 2017) version and wait for an update release.

Always remember to twirl down the "Adavanced" installation option and uncheck "remove old versions" so your previous install doesn't get uninstalled.

I'm on a mac and have had no issues so far, but I have seen various win users already reporting problems.

I think i got it when i went in and checked the Gui the box was checked again i had to uncheck it about 4 times before it stayed unchecked if that makes any sense. So it seems to be working fine for now. Well time for bed ( working midnight shift ) will check it again when i get up to make sure it is still working.

Do you mean GPU? Glad it worked!
