On August 15 at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Mi., we were at the Milford entrance osprey nest. The mother osprey was in the trees on the shore. The surviving youngster had just flown from the nest. I had set the camera for birds in flight to photograph the youngster but did not get a good shot. A belted kingfisher landed on the nest. Then a second kingfisher approached. I was lucky and got a couple of shots. These are significantly cropped.
