when i'm not researching posts here, i'm over at fredmiranda.com looking at their reviews section. i WISH there was something similiar available to us here. the combo makes buying decisions so much easier.

FM do it so well so why repeat it here? Anyone here can join FM and post a review. I don't see any added value.

some of the value i see added is that it would provide reviews for canon and 3rd party equipment that dealt soley with canon bodies. i.e. in my research of sigma lenses over at fm, i'm not always sure if the reviewer is talking about the equipment being mounted to canon, nikon, sigma, etc bodies.
also, i know the community better here. for example, if i decided to start looking at the equipment necessary for shooting concerts, dwight's reviews would weigh more heavily because i'm familiar with his work (from what i've seen posted here).
those are bigger things i see as value adding.

A review section may happen one day, but there are lots of other things to do as well :)
