Thanks! I've seen those before, but never really gave it much thought. I rarely use grad filters (and even more rarely like the results) so a rotating square would likely fit right into my shooting.

It's finally feeling like spring here in New England!

Got mine recently and trying to learn the settings I like. Bird photography is at the top of my list. Anyone know of any good videos/sites that cater to R III and birds?

I was told I could program a button to go back and forth between AF-C and AF-S. Anyone know anything about this.

Am I missing something where noise is concerned. There is more than I would have thought. I really had to work on this one at 400.

At iso 400 it should not even be a issue... Why dont you post up the original raw file, because you already worked on it already...Perhaps you are shooting jpegs, if so, maybe a setting in camera needs to be changed

That's what I'm thinking at 400. I double check but I'm sure I'm shooting RAW. Checked and they are ARW files?

It tells me the RAW file is over 10 MB and won't let me post it.

This kind. :-) Trying to find the groove coming from Canon to Sony. More noise than I expected or like I have to say. Haven't been shooting a week with the 100-400 yet so still playing with settings.
