...The strange thing is i first heard about this many years ago when i joined this site and people were asking why canon doesnt bring back eye detect af. So i assume this was a feature that over a decade ago canon already began using but stopped.
That was a completely different feature. What Canon's Eye control focus did was that the camera would follow your eye and selected the nearest focus point based on what you were looking at. It was decent but not extremely accurate. You couldn't just look at your subjects eye and insure that it was in perfect focus. This is not that at all. I actually evaluated the image and find your subjects eye then I am assuming focuses using the nearest point. However, it has way more points to choose from so I'm guessing it's going to be much more accurate.


. Are the sensors from Nikon/Sony better ? Of course they are ! That doesn't mean Canon is now garbage ?
