Pay Wall for Galleries?

Is there a website that creates a pay wall, such as a credit card or paypal page for customers, to view a gallery? Let's say I have a gallery that I want to charge for others to view, is there a place to host this?

I’m sure there’s a way, since porn sites do it.

But why would you do that?

Are you famous? Why would the general public pay to see a collection of your work? Is there some group of people you want to charge to view?

I would do it for select galleries.

I'm not famous. Yes, there is an audience I want to charge for specific collections of photographs.

Lots of places (Zenfolio etc.) will handle payments for prints. I think most that do that will also handle payment for access to a large file. I've not been aware of ones that will do it to view a gallery.

Password protected gallery and sell the password as a digital download? Most sites would support something like that.

...this is a relatively new company (I've never heard of it before I got an email about it a few weeks ago, so I cannot vouch for their veracity) but it looks to be able to do what you want. Warning, it is potentially NSFW (it does display a warning and the option to make the site SFW) so I suspect their primary clientele seem to be on the "adult side" of the market, but there seems to be not-very-many companies out there that do what you want to do unfortunately.
